The asbestos removal process employed by A & O Environmental Ltd is based closely on those approved by the EPA, NIOSH and OSHA and are currently engaged in united states. Among the characteristics of these: All staff are highly qualified and trained for the tasks to be performed, materials and equipment used are those recommended by the EPA, NIOSH and OSHA, supervisory positions are staff trained abroad and certificates for these purposes and in all projects involving professionals in the field of risk prevention and the environment.
Facilities that are commonly used in clearance tasks are:
Clean area , where personnel from entering the labor necessary to be equipped with appropriate personal protective equipment for asbestos removal work.
Shower area , all personnel entering or leaving the task of removal must go through a strict cleaning procedure to remove the fibers in the body. The water generated is treated with asbestos filters.
Dirty area , where all staff leaving the task is removed from the suit
“coveralls” and other PPE contaminated with asbestos, this area has enabled one to leave this dump contaminated material.
Bag washing area , 150 micron bags containing asbestos are brought from the mine are a wash to decontaminate the surface of the bag containing asbestos fibers, the water generated is treated with filters for asbestos before available in the sewerage.
Zone 2 ยบ encapsulation bags in this area of work the bags of 150 microns are again encapsulated in bags of 300 microns, this procedure is done by 2 people avoid hitting or damaging both bags and then the bags are closed with a knot called neck goose.
Conteiner with waste in the container bags are deposited, this whole process is done carefully to avoid breakage causing asbestos parts are removed and the bags, when it is full conteiner removed following the procedure described in the plan of management.
